National Pairs Golf Championship

 

Format of the Competition

 

As a Director, emplyee or consultant to a UK
based Factor or Discounter you are invited to
represent your company and take up the challenge of this industry competition. Knock-out the rest to take the title.

Team up with a colleague or play with a client or friend.

 

A Factor or Discounter may enter as many teams as it likes but one member of each pair must be a Director, employee or consultant of the Factor or Discounter.

Each pair will be drawn to play with another pair in their geographical location. The teams agree the venue for their match. In the event of disagreement, the sponsors will nominate a course.

 

Each round of the competition is a knock-out.

 

The group winners will be invited to play in the final, as guests of the sponsors. Next year’s final will be played at Penina Golf course Portugal over 20th-21st October 2005. Group winners will enjoy their day at the final, courtesy of the sponsors. This will include travel by air from Gatwick to Faro and overnight bed and breakfast at Penina Hotel. The guests will get the chance to actually meet Sandra, who will be presenting the magnificent SALINGER CUP.

Championship Rules

1. The Championship will be played on Better Ball Stableford format.
   
   
2. There will be a three-quarter handicap allowance.
   
   
3. Maximum handicap for men 24, and 36 for ladies.
   
   
4. Handicap certificates not required.
   
   
5. The championship is a knock-out over a single round of golf.
   
   
6. The course for each game shall be agreed upon by the two teams provided the length is not less than 5500 yards.
   
   
7. The Final will be played at the Penina Hotel in Portugal on Friday 20th-21st October 2005.
