Laura Sutton - Commercial Litigation

Laura studied Law and Criminology at the University of Sheffield, qualifying in 2000. Following which she attended the college of law, to complete her LPC gaining a distinction.  She then trained at a city firm and qualified in September 2003. Laura joined PDT in January 2005 under the supervison of Gareth Timms.

William Angas - Commercial Litigation

William joined PDT as a Trainee, successfully completing his contract in 2004. Having gained a broad range of experience in litigation, company commercial and employment, he now works in the Litigation department. William advises on all aspects of commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on asset finance, factoring law, and contentious insolvency work.

Claire advises on all aspects of Commercial Litigation, with particular expertise in professional negligence and contractual disputes. Carl became a litigator with the firm in 2001 in the same year that he qualified. He particularly enjoys complex or unusual cases and perhaps because of this in the past three years he has had four cases reported; three cases in the Court of Appeal; one written up in the Gazette and one in the Estates Gazette.

Anne Charity - Commercial Litigation

Anne has been with PDT for eight years, initially working part-time as a consultant and, for the last four years, full time with the Litigation department, concentrating on larger pieces of High Court litigation, including claims under personal guarantees and defending corporate fraud claims. She has extensive experience in handling high caliber, heavy documentation commercial cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal and in Arbitration.

Peter Ames – Commercial Litigation

Having trained at a Lovells and qualifying in August 2005, Peter spent a further year with Lovells gaining considerable experience in both contentious and non-contentious commercial and financial matters.

Peter moved to Paul Davidson Taylor in September 2006 and now focuses on a variety of commercial dispute matters. As well as dealing with a wide range of factoring matters, Peter has also acted for Clients in intellectual property disputes, construction contracts and insolvency actions.

Hayley Rose – Commercial Litigation

Having spent 2½ years with a large regional law firm working in their litigation department as a paralegal, Hayley joined PDT in 2005 as a trainee and qualified as a solicitor at the commencement of 2007. Hayley deals with a variety of commercial disputes, predominately dealing with the factoring sector which includes debtor and guarantor actions.

Tim Symes – Commercial Litigation

Qualifying in September 2002 at the Thames Valley firm, Pitmans, Tim has experienced a wide range of Commercial Litigation issues.

Tim’s key areas of practice are Insolvency and Factoring. Tim deals with all factoring matters ranging from straightforward debtor recoveries, through to more complex guarantor and fraud actions.

Tim also heads up the Department’s Insolvency Litigation team. He advises on contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters and prides himself on providing Insolvency Practitioners with swift advice and practical solutions.
