European Revenge at the PDT / Searls Unofficial Ryder Cup 2021
Published: 29 September 2021
While Europe may have struggled in the official Ryder Cup over the weekend, Mannings Heath posed no such threat to Team Europe last week in PDT & Searls Land’s unofficial contest. Europe dominated throughout the day, taking an emphatic lead into the afternoon after the morning 4-balls on The Kingfisher Course. Despite USA’s hard-fought efforts (including a very impressive eagle by Reside’s Luke Bargman on the 17th!) Europe maintained the good form in the afternoon’s singles to ensure a one-sided affair.
With fantastic sunny September weather, it was a fun day with great company, and a great couple of rounds of golf with some respectable scores.
Well done again to Craig Lee – winner of Nearest the Pin (Tim Searl a very close second, losing out by half a foot!); and Adam Galbraith – winner of Longest Drive and Sam Dutton winner of (disputed) shot of the day, the only evidence being the above – we will leave it for you to judge for yourself…
We look forward to hosting a rematch next year.
