Halloween came a day early at the PDT offices today with a fantastic spread of devilish cakes for the PDT Halloween Bake Off in aid of Chestnut Tree House
Published: 30 October 2023
A big thank you to everyone that took part in the PDT Halloween bake off today. It was great to see so many different sweet treats and all the effort that went into baking them.
Ghoulish highlights included SpidOreos, Vanilla and Chocolate Eyeball, Bat and Monster cupcakes, Pumpkin Orange Truffles, Jigsaw’s Victoria Sponge with blood jam syringes, Chocolate Pumpkin Cake, Chocolate Cake with a Spider Surprise and Toffee Apple Cup Cakes!
Following some strict judging (and tasting) by our resident ‘Paul Hollywood’ and ‘Mary Berry’, a big congratulations to our winner Katherine Chisholm for her double entry of delicious and beautifully decorated vanilla and chocolate eyeball, bat and monster cupcakes and pumpkin orange truffles and to runner up Gina Hope for her brilliantly creative and tasty chocolate cake with a spider surprise!
All funds raised from eating the spooky treats will be donated to Chestnut Tree House, a children's hospice for Sussex, Brighton and South-East Hampshire caring for children and young adults aged 0-19. A fantastic opportunity to raise some money for a great cause.
