Laura McMaster rises to the top as a Rising Star for her Employment practice
Published: 18 October 2023
It is not surprising that Laura McMaster has been singled out as one of only 5 Rising Stars in the Employment sector by the Legal 500 2024 for Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
Heading up our Employment offering, Laura does it all; she advises on all employment related matters and works closely with our Corporate, Commercial, Healthcare, Insolvency and Litigation teams to provide cross-specialism advice to clients.
The Legal 500 describe Laura as ‘professional’ and that she ‘instils a level of confidence that very few can match’.
Managing Partner James Clewlow comments “The term rising star is often too freely used in all sectors and if ever there was a case where this phrase was apt it is in respect of Laura McMaster. Her contribution to developing consistent high-quality relationships has been outstanding, she genuinely meets and exceeds client expectations and with a high degree of modesty does this in a calm, no nonsense, matter of fact way. Her star is truly rising.”
One client said "Laura McMaster is one of the only legal professionals I’ve have dealt with in my career who truly understands the business needs, she always makes time for calls and is a pleasure to talk with. She can make the most stressful of employment issues feel manageable and never leaves me questioning whether we are delaying or stalling due to unlikely legal risks. Laura instills a level of trust that very few can match." Another commented "Laura McMaster was very professional but also understanding of my personal situation. The turnaround time was swift."
In addition to being well loved by clients Laura is involved in a number of forums at PDT including as a Qualified Mental Health First Aider, facilitator of our mentoring programme and a core member of our equality and diversity group.
Well done to you, Laura.
