PDT advise Flagship Europe on the acquisition of Oliver James and Proper Pies

PDT’s corporate team was delighted to have advised Flagship Europe on its recent acquisition of Oliver James Foods Limited and Proper Pies Limited. PDT has acted for Flagship Europe (formerly Atlantic Foods Group) since 2006. The combined turnover of Flagship Europe following the acquisition exceeds £85M.

Flagship Europe is a leading supplier and manufacturer of innovative menu solutions to the UK foodservice market. It serves many of the leading casual dining, delivery and pub chains in the UK including Mitchells & Butler, Pizza Hut, Greene King, Whitbread and Domino’s Pizza. It has also recently become the UK food service distributor for Tabasco.

Based in Southam, Warwickshire, Oliver James is the UK’s leading specialist producer of “sous vide” cooked foods. Food entrepreneurs Kevin Morel and Martyn Thomas learnt the French process of sous vide whilst working with the Roux brothers. Proper Pies operates as a separate business from premises in Redditch and produces high quality pastries, bakes and pies.
