"The team at PDT are always easy to work with on deals like this and continue to impress. Rosie and Craig were excellent in bringing the deal together. Their calm approach to dealing with the complexities and challenges that arose in this transaction was deeply impressive. Thank you for all your hard work"
Dan Phelan, Head of Magnetics Business Area, KAMIC Group
Swedish based KAMIC Group is a corporate group consisting of some 20 companies active in trade, product development and manufacturing and is present in 12 countries throughout Northern Europe, Asia and the USA. The acquisition of SIGA Electronics, with its manufacturing base in Bedfordshire, builds upon the presence of the KAMIC Group within the UK. SIGA joins the ETAL Group, the UK based magnetics division of the KAMIC Group, providing a substantial manufacturing base in the UK from which they can continue to provide and grow production and supply of magnetic components to their world-wide customer base.
Noel Ruddy, Partner and Head of Corporate at PDT commented “PDT has advised ETAL for many years and, following on from the acquisition of Grandchain last year, we were delighted to be able to assist them with this strategically important acquisition”.
Rosie Haines, who led the PDT team, said “ As it continues to expand its presence in the UK manufacturing industry, the acquisition of SIGA represents a great fit to the existing KAMIC portfolio of businesses. The transaction presented a number of interesting challenges for us which we were able to overcome, and I’m delighted we were able to achieve a successful outcome for all parties. We wish Dan and his team every success in taking the SIGA business forward and look forward to working with KAMIC again in the future.”
The PDT team comprised partners Noel Ruddy and Andrew Hoad (Corporate), associate Rosie Haines (Corporate) and Craig Burton (Real Estate).
