PDT Solicitors advise The Specialist Works on its purchase of Pace Media
Published: 07 November 2017
"This was our second major acquisition in the UK and it was important we got it right. As always, the team at PDT were a pleasure to deal with throughout the transaction, were extremely professional and responsive making sure that we completed the deal within a tight deadline. This meant that we could make the commercial announcements we needed to make on time. They guided us through the complex process and whilst there were some aspects of the deal which required some thought, Rebecca and Rosie were extremely proactive in getting any issues resolved."
Martin Woolley, CEO, The Specialist Works Limited
Pace Media’s existing clients will have access to TSW’s full digital and offline media buying and its pathways planning team. In addition, the merger will combine the best of their respective data analytics, creative and production services.
Commenting on the purchase, Martin Woolley, CEO of TSW, said: “This is a mouth-watering prospect. There are remarkably few TV agencies in the world that e- and m-commerce companies can trust to scale their businesses, but this acquisition will deliver spectacular, best in class solutions for these brands. Nick and his team share TSW’s ambition and vision and we can’t wait to welcome them and get started on this next exciting chapter together”.
Rebecca Glazebrook, who led the team at PDT, said, “This is our third acquisition for TSW, having previously assisted Martin and his team on the purchase of The Response Team back in 2014 and of Elarbee Media in 2015. It’s been a pleasure to see a merger of like minds coming together particularly when the cultural fit and aspirations are so aligned. We’re confident that the acquisition of Pace Media will strengthen TSW’s position as one of the most dynamic TV advertising and media buying agencies in the UK.”
The PDT team consisted of Rebecca Glazebrook, Noel Ruddy and Rosie Haines (Corporate), Bhavna Patel (Employment) and Emma van Klaveren (Property).
