PDT Solicitors advises on the sale of Advantedge Commercial Finance to eCapital Corp
Published: 14 December 2020
PDT’s corporate team is delighted to have advised the management sellers on the successful sale of the Advantedge Commercial Finance group, a specialist provider of invoice finance and factoring to small and medium sized businesses in the UK.
"PDT advised us in relation to the purchase of the Factor 21 group in 2016 and the management team did not hesitate to use the Corporate team again for the sale. The deal was complex and PDT were able to give us clear advice on the terms to enable us to make decisions in full knowledge of the different options available. We would like to thank Noel, Rebecca and Sian for their diligence and good humour throughout"
David Tilling, CEO, Advantedge Commercial Finance
PDT advised in relation to the MBO of Advantedge in 2016 by David Tilling, Neal Errington and Darren Cottenden, which was backed by Mobeus Equity Partners, and was pleased to help the management team again on the sale. eCapital Corp, the buyer, is a leading North American alternative finance provider providing working capital to similarly sized businesses.
Noel Ruddy, Head of Corporate said “Our experience and strength in the ABL sector together with our wealth of corporate transactional experience allowed us to work collaboratively with the Buyer’s advisers to facilitate a smooth process. With the management team remaining at the helm we are confident that the business will go from strength to strength and we look forward to our continuing relationship with Advantedge.”
Rebecca Glazebrook, the Corporate Partner who led the PDT team, said “It was a pleasure to advise the management team on the sale. We always take a collaborative and pragmatic approach to transactions and this, along with our technical expertise, made for a successful outcome within the expected timeframe. We wish Advantedge every success on their continued journey into 2021 and beyond.”
