PDT Solicitors advises on the sale of Southwood Research to ProPharma Group

PDT’s corporate team is delighted to have advised on the successful sale of Southwood Research Limited, a rapidly expanding life sciences consultancy, to US based ProPharma Group.

Founded in 2016, Southwood supports life sciences companies across the world in the development, registration and lifecycle management of their medicines. Led by founder Dr Colin Wheeler and Dr Tom Oakley, who heads up regulatory sciences, the company has grown incredibly quickly with a rapidly expanding US client base.
The shareholders were advised by corporate partners Noel Ruddy and Rebecca Glazebrook, assisted by Mark Diamond (Corporate), Sian Webber (Corporate), Daisy Chenery (Corporate), Laura McMaster (Employment) and Elise Sherwell (Real Estate).
Noel Ruddy, Head of Corporate said “We were thrilled to get the chance to help Colin with this deal. It was a sizeable undertaking with several challenging workstreams but fortunately we’ve worked with US lawyers on several cross border deals recently so had a team of experts on hand to help us pull the deal together in time. The shareholders were given corporate finance advice by WK Corporate Finance.
