Legal 500 2024: Cripps retains its position in the South East

Cripps retains its place as one of the leading law firms in the South East for corporate, real estate and private client, as ranked in The Legal 500 industry guide.

Regarded as one of the leading guides for the profession, The Legal 500 analyses the capabilities of law firms with a comprehensive research programme. By capturing feedback from clients, law firms are ranked based on their achievements over the previous year.

In the 2024 edition, released yesterday, the guide has ranked Cripps in the top tier for 14 practice areas in the South East, including commercial property, corporate and commercial, insolvency and corporate recovery, property litigation and family. Cripps is further recommended for five areas in the South East and eight in London.

The corporate and commercial team is described as ‘highly professional and knowledgeable’ and ‘they are not afraid to challenge on points thought to be unfair or unreasonable’. The commercial litigation team are said to be a ‘pleasure to deal with and have been helpful in ways that went beyond their obligations’. Meanwhile, the commercial property team is acknowledged as ‘hardworking, intelligent problem solvers’ that ‘go the extra mile to get deals done’.

Within private client, the family team is described as ‘one of the best’ and praised for its ‘practical and approachable team’. Likewise, the personal tax, trusts and probate team, is recognised as ‘professional, extremely competent and practical’, acting on multi-jurisdictional matters.

In addition, 19 lawyers have ranked as ‘leading individuals’, alongside seven ‘next generation partners’ and four ‘rising stars’.
