These rankings reflect PDT Solicitors' strong commercial approach and its ability to deal with complex transactions, consistently attracting high quality, high value work.

"We concentrate our efforts and specialise in a number of key sectors. I am delighted we have achieved recognition in some of these and this ranking illustrates the quality legal experience we provide… more to come so watch this space"

The Legal 500 identified advising Flagship Food Group on the divestment of its European arm to OSI as a key highlight. Another significant deal was the sale of Plastique Group to NASDAQ listed ESCO Technologies. Practice leader Noel Ruddy ‘successfully combines practicality with expert advice’; he is ably supported by Rebecca Glazebrook, who ‘is very personable, professional and technically capable’, and senior associate Mark Diamond, who ‘is very capable, a good communicator and technically proficient’.

Insolvency and Corporate Recovery

Legal 500 praise our insolvency and corporate recovery practice, stating PDT Solicitors is particularly well known for ‘technically minded but commercial’ Dawn Shadwell’s asset-based lending expertise, which is mostly applied to restructuring and refinancing matters. Dawn was also mentioned for her ability to advise insolvency practitioners, company directors, shareholders and creditors in formal and informal procedures such as administration, liquidation, security, voluntary arrangements and receivership.

William Angas was noted as the key person for contentious insolvency claims, including misfeasance, breach of statutory duties, antecedent transactions and bankruptcy disputes. Senior associate Ian Lindley and associate Ben Ashworth received mention on their ability to assist on non-contentious and contentious work, respectively. Partner Craig Burton was highlighted for his expertise in real estate and Noel Ruddy for his expertise in corporate finance and M&A.
