About Andrew
A Partner in our Corporate team, Andrew is a specialist in dealing with all types of corporate transactions including acquisitions and disposals, private and public equity fundraising and shareholder restructuring.
Andrew is aware of the responsibility of guiding clients thorough some of the most stressful times of their lives, so takes the time to understand what is important to the client so he can focus on those matters rather than getting caught up in pointless legal arguments that are of no real advantage to his clients. With the strong belief that it is far better to be collaborative and work with the other side rather than be confrontational, no matter how stressful the deal becomes Andrew remains unflappable and offers clear, considered advice.
Andrew has undertaken lots of transactions in the technology sector including advising on a number of software consultancy sales. He has acted for clients developing SaaS products and for high tech manufacturers. He also has lots of experience on private equity matters acting for both management and PE Houses.
Andrew is listed in The Legal 500, 2020 as a recommended lawyer for his 'pragmatic and commercial advice' and focus on the technology sector, including advising on software consultancy sales.
"The corporate team has three strong practitioners in Noel Ruddy, Rebecca Glazebrook and Andrew Hoad. It has a no-nonsense approach and will provide sensible commercial fee proposals that are appropriate to the task in hand." The Legal 500, 2020
Outside of the office Andrew is a keen amateur sportsman and youth team coach. Wherever possible he still plays football and cricket and if not playing will be found coaching his son’s cricket and football teams. Andrew also enjoys a good round of golf, skiing and clay pigeon shooting.
