As a Partner in the Real Estate department, Jane acts for national and regional housebuilders, residential property developers and land promoters advising on the acquisition and disposal of sites for new build dwellings. As a residential development specialist, her skills are also in demand from landowners who are looking to maximise the value of their landholding when selling to developers or entering into land promotion agreements.
Jane is a natural communicator and her strength lies in her ability to build truly strategic partnerships; she is the trusted advisor for many longstanding clients. Regardless of the complexity or sensitivity of the transaction, Jane understands that each transaction is unique and uses her extensive knowledge and experience in the sector to work collaboratively with all sides of the transaction to find solutions in line with her clients’ commercial objectives.
Jane has particular expertise in drafting and advising clients on all forms of conditional contracts, options (short-term and strategic) and land promotion agreements. She is also very experienced in dealing with planning obligations and related infrastructure agreements.
Jane is fiercely proud of her Welsh heritage and is never happier than when spending time at the Principality Stadium watching her beloved rugby team and singing the National Anthem (badly). She is also a supporter of Liverpool FC and closely follows British Athletics and the England and Wales Women’s Cricket team. Her weekends usually involve driving around the country to support her sporty younger daughter whether on the hockey pitch, the netball court or the cricket field.
Outside of the office Jane is a regular theatregoer with a special interest in Shakespeare (encouraged by her eldest daughter), she is an avid reader of crime fiction and loves travelling in Europe. She is also known to enjoy a glass of wine.
