Robert is a partner in the Dispute Resolution department. He specialises in resolving commercial disputes.
He joined PDT Solicitors in November 2019 after 20 years in practice, having spent the first part of his career at Slaughter and May in the city of London and the latter part at Irwin Mitchell in Sussex.
Robert has considerable experience of advising businesses and individuals in a range of industry sectors on disputes arising from commercial relationships and corporate transactions. He has dealt with disputes arising from a wide range of commercial contracts, corporate transactions, negligence, and other rights and obligations in a business context. He understands the requirements of different types of clients, whether they be business owners, investors, directors, management teams or in-house lawyers. Much of his work has had an international element.
Robert combines excellent technical legal expertise with a commercial and pragmatic approach to achieve cost-effective solutions as quickly as possible. Where an early consensual outcome is not achievable, he will handle the appropriate dispute resolution mechanisms including litigation, arbitration and mediation, and has experience of conducting cases in many courts and tribunals including appeals to the very highest levels.
