Our property team also works closely works closely with Administrators, Trustees in Bankruptcy and Liquidators on transactional insolvency matters. We have a regular involvement with commercial freehold sales; advising on technical matters including exposure to rent as a cost of the administration; directors bankruptcy sales for residential property; and detailed advice to administrators in relation to leasehold premises. The leasehold work includes licences to assign; lease surrenders; licences to occupy  (as part of a share purchase agreement, a renewal licence, or stand-alone licence); and tenancies at will.
