Our client that specialises in PVC-U extrusion as well as fabricated window, door and conservatory solutions went into administration in March 2020 owing significant sums to ABN AMRO under its finance facility . We instructed PDT to assist us and the administrators at KPMG collect our client’s outstanding debts which by then, were largely contested on the basis that the client was unable to honour the product warranty. Will, Ben and Gina were incredibly quick off the mark and their collaborative and methodical approach with the administrators and ABN AMRO resulted in a substantial recovery of the sales ledger in the region of c£2m despite the restrictions imposed by the Corporate Finance and Governance Act 2020 enacted shortly after the first lockdown. We are really impressed by PDT’s practical, commercial and “hands-on” approach and the synergy with ourselves and KPMG which is essential in any large collect-out scenario like this. There are a handful of large debts that remain outstanding which Will and Ben are now pursuing in the High Court having issued legal proceedings.
