Out of the strength came forth sweetness
Numerous commentaries have made the point that this pandemic and the changes this has forced upon us in terms of adapting our working practices has given us the opportunity to learn and refine how we work. The strength shown by all of our staff in adapting to difficult circumstances has bought real positives.
Throughout the pandemic I have referred to the PDT office as the “hub” and the “mothership” in its function as a central point of contact. It is more than this in my view, and it is why the recent reopening of the PDT office brings with it extra significance. As well as being a hub to ease administrative functions, it also serves as the heart for the development and containment of what we describe as the “PDT Experience” and the firm’s culture.
The reopening of the office is an important step in returning to what we want to be "the normal”. We are staying ever careful and ever cautious as we transition back and are being practical and sensible to ensure that we follow the best advice available as to ways to mitigate the risks of Covid-19.
As such I wanted to let you know that some sort of "normal" is back and as throughout this crisis, we are very much open for business. As always, our concentration and focus is on delivering the best service. Listening to your needs, adapting and being flexible so as to provide you with the quality support, advice and services you’ve come to expect from us.
At a time when everyone is striving for a "normal" we view our careful reopening as an opportunity to learn from those positive experiences we've had during lockdown to maintain our momentum, to keep refreshed, to remain energised and in doing so increase our efficiency and allow us to innovate and improve our processes to provide the seamless experience for you.
As I reflect on what we have learnt in the last twelve weeks, I realise there have been some positives that have come from the strength of our culture. As I put my golden syrup on my porridge this morning I was struck by the phrase on the tin and thought it apt - "out of the strength came forth sweetness".
